This is my preferred method for learning new software. It walks you, step by step, through various projects, teaching you key commands, menu functions, etc. as you go. I'm a beginner in Logic Pro, and this book has helped me tremendously. The chapters on midi recording and editing are a lot of fun.
My only regret is that it doesn't go into the software instruments in any detail, but I knew that from looking at the table of contents before I bought it. I know there are lots of video tutorials available elsewhere which explain the synths, and there's always the User Manual, but I'd love to see this author do a book on Logic's various instruments, filters, etc.
Still, there's a wealth of information here, and I highly recommend it.

I've only gone through the first few chapters but learned so much. I am a beginner with Logic so this was exactly what I needed. I guess this is why it is the Apple Certified Method.
The method is lab based so it's like being in a classroom only without the instructor.
