I dropped out of my AP Art History class in January due to scheduling conflicts and procrastinated studying for the exam until 2 weeks before. I bought this book on a whim. AND I'M SO THANKFUL! This book explains everything you need to know WITH PICTURES! This was the only review book I bought that had pictures. EVEN BETTER: some of the practice essay questions from the book WERE THE SAME as they were on the exam! I'm confident that this book is the only reason that I earned a 3 on this exam (which at my college is enough for 3 college credits and counts as my art credit, thus giving me more flexibility in my schedule!) It also helped me to keep a high score average to earn the title of AP Scholar! THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! If you're taking AP ART history in a class or by yourself YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!!

The plethora of knowledge between this book's bindings is truly invaluable to anyone with an interest in reinforcing their brain's database on history's art movements. That's what it is: a one stop database, a library's worth of information, with pictures and practice exams, in the palm of your hands. It's essentially the Holy Grail for an AP Art History student. They will benefit greatly with this by their side; I know I did, having scored well on the exam and igniting my passion for the subject. Everything is just so vividly illustrated and easy to understand, and the practice questions are taken directly from past APs.
Around the time I was taking the AP I was using the 1st Edition, but since its release, I've been using this here 2nd Edition due to its updated facts and images. This updated version simply meets with our world that's constantly evolving, constantly revealing its peoples' hidden wonders to us. Being a student at university now, majoring in the subject, I seriously can't stress how invaluable this Barron's is; I use it as the foundation for every period we cover. It's my reference for everything.
Be you an AP Art History student, studying to hopefully major in Art History, or even beyond--this book will seem to always be by your side, always handy, as you continue to strengthen your skills; the wealth inside this book loans itself to being the underpinning of everything art history related you find yourself doing.
