I did not however realize you have to put the book together yourself... You will probably need to purchase the other Fabric Science book to assist with putting this book together, it comes with several swatches which are not labelebed, so do not mix up the order of the sample fabrics. You will write in the book your own information, it does not provide any information for you. So if you need a book to help you understand textiles and fabrics, this is not the one. If you need a book to help you organize information that you have retained on textiles and fabrics, this is the one for you.

This is a great swatch kit! I use it all the time for class. I just wish it was a little cheaper.
