Not bad quality (I will use it), but some little things are really annoying

The size (a little bigger than a credit card, and about 1/2 in thick) doesn't bother me--I've seen some bad reviews based solely on the size. Be a little more helpful, people!
Some background that might be helpful: (otherwise, skip to the Pros and Cons)
I'm a big fan of moleskine planners. For several years I've used the black, soft cover, weekly with notes, pocket size moleskine planner (their most popular one). I loved the layout with a page for notes each week. Easily fit in my back pants pocket.
However, during the past year 2 things happen that have change my use of my planner:
1) I got a smart phone--I use this for some lists (general to-dos) and a lot for calendar events--especially ones I want reminders for.
2) I started keeping a notebook. I'm a grad student. While I'm still taking classes, most of my work is self-directed and I take a lot more notes than my old moleskine planner could handle.
However, I still really like having a physical calendar (I don't want to put every homework assignment on my Google calendar)
I thought this would be a great alternative.

Pros:
-It's pretty well made, plus my experience with other Moleskine products give me confidence that it will last a year.
-it easily fits in my pocket.
-still has a little pocket in the back
-bookmark and elastic band as usual

Cons:
-The most annoying thing is the fact that on each page, the month is riiight next to the spine. You can kind of see this in the picture. It may not seem important, but when you're trying to flip through a few weeks or months, it will be really annoying. I have to open the book up allll the way to see the month. I think the pages need redesigned to have the month right next to the edge of the page.Read more ›

Small and wonderful

I needed a small planner to put down a small amount of information. This is great for that! It's about as small as my wallet. However, one star off for having the months on this inside of the spine. I see myself getting frustrated trying to find a past date in the future.

Perfect size!!!

Working for myself at several different client locations a week, this is perfect for me to keep track of where I am going and plan out my future schedule AND, it is small enough to fit in a smaller sized purse. On top of that, LOVE the purple. Last year I had pink. I love these and has even written that feedback to the manufacturers.

A real planner: nothing virtual about it!

My first choice was a more economical pocket-sized "academic" planner that appears to have been discontinued while the world slips into hand-held cyberspace. The present item needed additional monthly headings for fuller clarity, which I happily added by hand, but the size and styling are both attractive. It's a real book too, with nothing virtual about it. Please keep printing these things!
