First off, hands down I really benefited from the use of this drug guide. It was perfect for in class use as well as clinical use for nursing school. It truly is one of the most trusted names in drug guides (my grandmother still has her Davis's guide from when she was a practicing nurse.)
However, in regards to actually purchasing the book was a completely different situation. I have Amazon Prime, so I purchased the book that was Prime eligible. Mine happened to be sold by Amazon. I thought "this is great, I have Prime so I'll get it here in about 3 days." WRONG. Just because they say "2 day shipping" DOES NOT mean that you will get it any sooner...especially if they decide to wait 12 days before they ship it out!! All of my other books (10 books total) came within 3-4 days of purchase. But this was a nightmare, especially since I needed it right away. If I would have known that it would take Amazon 2 weeks to get my "Prime eligible" book to me, I would have paid a private seller more to get it to me in an appropriate time frame.

Davis' is hands down the best drug guide out there for nurses. I love the format of the book and how each drug monograph is written. in particular the "Nursing Implications" section for each drug is awesome and makes planning care and knowing what to focus in on so much easier.
