==This review is from a student who is studying for Step 2 with a Step 3 book==
I am a new student to the Mastering Boards Series. I purchased this book because of recommendations that it is good for Step 2. The format is so easy on the eyes, which is nice for those long reads. The book is in color, which makes it nice as well (check out the peds section!). The format for most of the topics are similar to the other review books. What I like about this one is that it talks a lot about "Best initial test vs most specific test, etc" or "best initial treatment vs most effective treatment." A lot of the tips on the side boxes are great as well. In addition, the CCS tips are cool (but I won't be taking that test for a while). I think another great feature of this book is that they present scenarios a lot of cases that people tend to narrow the answers down to 50:50 and would guess wrong. They explain how you should think about the question, which is a great. Overall, the review material is precise and to the point. Conrad Fischer does not waste your time!!! Not a lot of flow charts, if that is your thing. The tables are pretty comparable to any other review book. Overall, I think the material is sufficient for Step 2 and there are a lot of "rare but testable board" points/tips that I have seen on Uworld but not in Step up to step 2 review book, in this book. The one pet peeve that I have with review books is outdated information, and this book definitely worked on updating to the newest guidelines for treatment.
I would definitely recommend it!

Not every review book is going to have everything in it.
I only used this book, along with questions from Exam Master and USMLE World. I studied for about 2 months and passed
