This is a very good book. As far as I can tell, it is the best among many that prepares students for the AP U.S. Government test. I teach that subject, and I require that students spend the 13 bucks to purchase this book, then beat it up with underlining, notations, and class notes. I do not like the fact that they create a "new" edition every year, which is slightly different than the previous editions, but I guess that that is their way of selling more books. I have used the 5th, 6th, and 7th edition, and it looks like we will be buying #8 for use in the 2014-15 school year.
